As Summer Ends Time To Discover Colorado's Backroads

Summer has come to an end and fall is starting to creep in, just like the migrating birds it is time for me to fly back to Colorado. I leave this Sunday and look so forward to photographing  all that fall and winter has to offer in the mountains and catch up with friends and family.

It has been a great summer here in Belgium and I had the opportunity to photograph many interesting subjects while I was here. Here are just a few of my favorites

Some of the images I have taken this summer has also lead to some new avenues for my business.  Building a photography business when your location keeps moving in not an easy task but this summer has shown me that it is more than possible. Because I had a chance to photograph the draft horses plowing and the horse fishermen those images gave me to an opportunity to write two articles for the Draft Horse Journal and also landed one of my images on the cover for the September issue. This has been a goal of mine for a long time. So I was very excited when they chose one of my images.  You can go to my Publications & Awards page to see a sample.

As I traveled around Belgium I began to realize just how unique this country is and the wide variety of light and subjects to photograph. I have often thought I wish I could share this experience, and that brought about the idea of offering a photo tour. I know as a photographer how much variety Belgium has to offer so I  put tour together for photographers or anyone wanting see Belgium and experience a part of Belgium you otherwise would not have a chance to know.  If your interested you can read more about under Workshops and Tours

I am looking so forward to sharing my world with others and I plan to scout around Colorado this fall and winter to find some unique and beautiful places for a fall or winter tour. It will take a lot of driving and hours of photographing but  I will be sure to share my findings here on the blog.

So as I start packing up my gear and getting ready for the long flight bank and a few days of jet lag I hope you will follow this blog as I share with you the experiences and beauty that the Colorado backroads have to offer.
